چکیده

Background and Aims: Running sport is one of the basic medal-winning sports. For success in this sport, it requires to improve performance athletes young ages. This study aims assess effect eight weeks two plyometric resistance training methods on selected biomechanical variables (flexibility, balance, power, speed) adolescent male runners. Methods: a quasi-experimental with pre-test/post-test design using control group. The population consists all runners aged 12-17 years attending sessions youth teams active league competitions Tehran, Iran. Of these, 45 were randomly divided into three groups (n=15), (n=15) (n=15). programs presented for weeks, per week, each minutes, while group participated their routine teams. Sargent jump test was used evaluate power; 30-m sprint speed; star excursion balance dynamic sit reach flexibility. To analyze collected data, descriptive statistics (mean standard deviation) analysis covariance Bonferroni post hoc SPSS software, version 24. Results: had significant compared results showed that more effective than training. Conclusion: Plyometric can be helpful improving physical increase records.
